 I was being made redundant after 36 years with the company.  My immediate frustration was rejection, self doubt and not knowing what to do

"I had been advised that I was being made redundant by my employer whom I had worked with for over 36 years. My main goal was getting my head around what was happening and what the next step was to be. My immediate frustration was rejection, self doubt and not knowing what to do. I didn’t really know what to do or where to go. I needed a CV and a good one at that, what constitutes a good one? So much info available online and all contradictory.
